How much? I haven't found anything that says truly yet. Big deal here is that this release includes a subset of the. I watched the keynote, and I was a little confused at first, but here are the important bits from my perspective: At Mix 07 Microsoft significantly augmented Silverlight. Even the most dedicated players would find this too much. But imagine having to edit this:Īnd this is just for one train. My plan up to this point had always been to make players edit train runs. Only the final boss remained: timetable editor UI. Trains were running it, pax were planning on top of it. I had now system for timetables which I liked and was flexible. It does a simple thing (estimate the time with a 90% max train speed, then run the train at 100% on the tracks), and it also respects line tags, but its timing will probably be a bit off compared to real line legs. That being said it is not a fully traced path like a line leg path. This “glue path” is properly accounted for by the train run logic and its leg run time is used to adjust the time of the first stop of the line, so the timetable accounts for it. So in another design decision, it was made possible to mix and match any possible line with any other possible line, even if the “glue path” to transition from one line to the next is multiple hours. Initially I was going to force lines match on their final and first stops to make them compatible, but realized this made every 1.4 line invalid and every line design tip up until this point invalid. The main problem with this feature is the “glue pathing” required to go from one line to the next one. This also restores the old vision of having trains being independent of lines, which is of course the more realistic. So I decided to make it possible again for trains to be assigned to any number of lines, by making runs explicitly store which line they are going to run. It would be better to keep lines relatively simple and instead work on the new thing, which was trains runs. I was planning to improve lines with all sort of extra options to make them more flexible, but the more I thought about it the worse it looked. Up until this point the entire design of timetables had a big limitation: trains are forever fixed to run a single line. Final timetable design: multiple lines, runs, orders and automation This was the state of the AI in early august, it is now much improved. The previous video shows a busy station with many trains coming and going, and most of them making their timetable in time (with a buggy visualization, ignore the wrong platforms). Out of two months of development for 1.5, train AI implementation took a total of two days. Combining this with the existing max speed setting for lines, allows trains to catch up with their timetable, so it might be a good idea to reserve more than 10s of min. But if it arrives late and loads fast enough it will depart on time. The system of waiting extra time for loading pax still exists, so it can depart late if the reserved min. It is now used to calculate the departure time for the train stop, and the train will consider departing the station once that time arrives. stop time is no longer the minimal amount for the train stop. Trains about the fixed arrival time for a line stop, and if the line settings allow them to, they will run extra fast in case they are late. This forms a relative timing for the line, which is then translated to a real time when a train runs a line, based on the run start time. Line stops are still edited just like in 1.4, with leg speed control and a min. Then, only when finishing their current run, they will consider running a new run (usually the next one, but if it’s late enough it can skip one or more). So on spawn (including interventions) trains will be spawned on their current stop according to the time of the week, and assigned that run. In particular the “what to do now” code now looks up what is the run the train should be running at the moment it is asked to, unless the train is not done with its current run. Thanks to train AI “roll on rails” code being 100% decoupled from “what to do now” code, it took just two method changes to switch to timetables. The straightforward design of the run system not only helps pax and the line network logic to quickly build a timetabled map, it also helps trains run timetables easily. How the player interacts with runs was the big headache, so I decided to stop thinking about it for awhile and finally update train AI to 1.5 timetables. These runs are tightly packed and must cover 100% of the week seconds. Trains will have a sequence of “runs”, which is a simple combination of start time plus a line to run. NIMBY Rails devblog 2022-08 25 August, 2022 Timetable support for train AIĪugust started with the decision to base timetables on the “train run” system as explained last month. This week, we’re going to expand our look at Spartan society and examine the claim of Spartan Equality. We also found that the Spartan agoge was more like a child-soldier training program – something out of the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda – than any kind of education system as we understand it. We found that our sources look nothing like the grizzled veterans who narrate films like 300, being instead mostly wealthy (and snobbish!) Greeks from outside of Sparta. Last week we took a look at our sources for Sparta and then examined the Spartan child-training system, the agoge. This is Part II of our seven part look at Sparta ( I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, Gloss., Retrospective). The FAQ section also revealed that Outriders will not allow players to go up against other players. Even on the FAQ section on the official Outriders site, the game has been strictly promoted as a “story-driven RPG shooter.” A game as a service will chop the content into parts, but we didn't want to do that,” Kmita said. “Outriders is not games as service, so we're not even thinking about that… we wanted to have a game that you would start and finish. Outriders creative director Bartosz Kmita bluntly denied the comparison in an interview with US Gamer, saying that Outriders would be a story-driven experience. When it was officially announced at E3 2019, Outriders drew criticism upon being too similar to live service titles such as Destiny ( Review) and Tom Clancy's The Division. With all the different hardware finishes and styles, how do you possibly choose?ĭon’t let your choice of hardware be an afterthought! With so many decisions and choices already made, once it’s time to choose the kitchen cabinet hardware, you are completely burnt out.įiguring out how to choose the perfect kitchen cabinet hardware can be overwhelming. However, it is often overlooked, especially if you are going through a kitchen renovation. It’s the last accessory to complete a kitchen look. It’s safe to say cabinet hardware is like jewelry to a kitchen. We know that there are a crazy amount of hardware choices but how do you choose one (trendy or not) that is the right fit for your kitchen? And for such a low cost! HOW TO CHOOSE KITCHEN CABINET HARDWARE I love that something as simple as switching out hardware made such a large impact on the kitchen. That being said, you can go with more of a trendy cabinet hardware choice without the fear of it being permanent and looking dated in a few years.īoth times updating the cabinet hardware, changed the look of the whole kitchen. The best part about cabinet hardware is that it’s one of the easier updates to do in a kitchen. I then fell hard for the farmhouse kitchen cabinet hardware style and updated it from chrome hardware to the more trendy matte black pulls and knobs. I choose chrome cup pulls for the drawers and chrome knobs for the cabinets. The first update was when I first moved into the home. I’ve been living in my current home for about 5 years and within those 5 years, I have updated my kitchen cabinet hardware twice. However, with so many different hardware styles, finishes, and sizes how do you go about choosing the best fit for your kitchen? Updating your kitchen cabinet hardware is one of the easiest ways to give your kitchen a new fresh feel without totally breaking the bank. There is a solution but sometimes i feel i am very lazy and others are more active than me, now i feel i am doing good job in searching and finding something if available, so will this be a solution for you then? The reverse grad is amazing and really gives me great sunset/sunrise pictures, but that damn color cast!!! I have the formatt IRND filters and they have no color cast, even the 16 stop filter has no color cast which is amazing, but those are thick glass filters. and the RGND looks to be more prone to color casting. When we add a ND filter, we increase the IR coming through the filter. I think it's the fact that they don't block the IR component and this is why we get the magenta color cast. The color cast in the RGND from formatt comes from the long exposure. Oh wait, i don't have RGND other than Singhray resin one and i never used it, but i am thinking to sell it while it is still new unused or unsealed even only taken out of the pack and go with a glass version of it and see.Īs i say, formatt filters i have they all have color cast when stacked with other filters, and i said even LEE has that when stacked with others, and i meant any LEE filters not just GND, but even ND including Big stopper, but Haida ND filters said to be better than LEE big stopper, little warmer but still less color cast than Big Stopper, i am sure you see comparison reviews here and there. I stack 2-3 filters with my new ones glass and no color cast, if you have each with no color cast of each then how you get color cast when you stack them all together? I have this problem with color casting with the formatt filter. The problem is with the RGND, when stacking with an additional ND/CPL. The big stopper is known for its blue cast but thats easy to fix. I have the lee filters and they give me no color cast, especially the GND ones. Easy to break if dropped or strong/heavy impact, but even the resin may break with that big heavy impact/dropping. Price, but Haida and that 3rd party filters prices where adequate and i was happyĢ. To be honest, i had that bad colorcast with my Hitech filters, less with LEE but still there, i don't have Singhray square/rectangular filter except the reverse one, but i found about Haida and bought some of their glasses filters and also a 3rd party brand and i just stocked out their last pieces of 2/3/4 stop GND filters glass and they are so perfect high quality, no color cast at all no matter what, so i found out that with glass filters i can solve many problems, the only 2 cons with glass filters are:ġ. I have the same effect with formatt filters and was considering the singhray but if you get the same colorcast - no need to spend more money. Do you notice a color cast when stacking the singhray reverse grad with additional ND filters? |
